There is a risk of cancellation of the Next Level Festival 2020, even at short notice, due to changes in the occurrence of infections.

Persons with a higher risk of severe COVID-19 disease are advised not to attend the event.

Question 1

I have concerns about the Corona Virus to visit the Next Level Festival. What is done for prevention?

The Zollverein Foundation has developed a comprehensive protection concept for all premises in coordination with the public health authority of the city of Essen, which was organizer is taken over and implemented under consideration of appropriate measures. Here are the most important measures for you as a visitor of the Next Level Festival: Obligation to cover your mouth and nose in the rooms of the Next Level Festival for visitors and employees

  • keeping a minimum distance of 1,5 m
  • Avoidance of handshakes / hugs
  • Sneezing label (sneezing into the crook of your arm)
  • Wash / disinfect hands

Question 2

I have an already purchased ticket, but I have cold symptoms. Can I still come to the Next Level Festival?

Unfortunately, we cannot grant admission to the festival to persons with symptoms of illness. We recommend you to cancel or pass on your ticket.

Question 3

I have an already bought ticket, but I have cold symptoms. Can I return my ticket?

Yes, you can return your online ticket at any time. The refund of the ticket price minus the processing fees (10% of the ticket price, max. 5€). is only possible 14 days after purchase of the ticket. After this period a ticket return is possible, but without refund of the ticket price.

Question 4

How is a contactless ticket purchase promoted?

We ask all guests to buy tickets online. If you want to buy your Next Level tickets at the box office, please pay - if possible contactless - by EC-card payment. You will soon be able to buy your Next Level tickets at the Ruhr Visitorcenter in Essen at Zollverein. See point 13.

Question 5

Do I have to wear a mouth and nose cover during my entire stay?

According to the current Corona protection regulations, all guests in the exhibition areas of the Next Level Festival must wear a mouth-and-nose cover. Please protect yourself and other festival visitors.

Question 6

I cannot wear a mouth-nose cover for health reasons. Can I still participate in the Next Level Festival?

It is obligatory to wear a mouth-nose-cover in all areas of the Next Level Festival. Therefore, unfortunately, no exemptions from the wearing obligation can be accepted in principle.

Question 7

How can I cancel my ticket?

Online Ticket: Please send an email to info@next-level.org and describe your request. A ticket cancellation is possible within 14 days. Unfortunately the ticket and payment fees cannot be refunded, only the purchase price of the ticket minus a cancellation fee of 10% of the ticket price (max. 5€).

Question 8

Unfortunately, I cannot participate in the Next Level Festival 2020 after all. What can I do with my ticket?

Here you have different possibilities.

  1. You can cancel your ticket up to 14 days after the purchase. See point 7, how can I cancel my ticket?
  2. You can give your ticket to someone else. A rewriting of the ticket is not necessary, because we use a DSGVO compliant app for tracing, in which all necessary information is collected on site.

Question 8

I am under 18 years old. Which ticket is the right one for me?

Great, we are looking forward to seeing you at Next Level - Festival for Games 2020. You can buy a reduced ticket (festival pass or day ticket) in the ticket store.

Question 9

I will be 18 years old shortly before the Next Level Festival 2020. Do I still have the possibility to get a reduced ticket?

Yes, if you are a pupil, student or resident of the city of Essen. Please bring proof with you (e.g. student ID or identity card). To stay up to date, you can inform yourself on our social media channels or subscribe to our newsletter.

Question 10

We would like to come with a group. How can we register them?

It is very easy. Please send us a table to info@next-level.org with the following information:

  • Name
  • First name
  • Age
  • E-mail address
  • Festival band or day ticket (for day ticket please indicate the exact day)
  • For paid tickets you will get a group discount depending on the number of tickets.

Question 11

Are entitled to a discount:

  • Children and teenagers under 18 years
  • Students
  • Recipients of unemployment benefit (ALG I & II), social assistance and benefits according to the Maintenance Security Act (USG) with proof
  • Participants in the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ), Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ) and Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) with proof
  • People with disabilities from a degree of disability of 70% with official identification
  • With the mark "BG" in the official identity card an accompanying person receives free entry. Please note that Hall 6 is not barrier-free throughout.
  • Holders of the "Essen.dabei sein" card
  • Proof of one of the applicable conditions is required at the entrance, e.g. in the form of a pupil/student card or identity card.

Question 12

Tickets will soon be available at RUHR.VISITORCENTER Essen

There are no tickets available in the Ruhr.Visitorcenter yet. As soon as the advance sale starts, we will inform you on the Next Level website. Address: UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein, Coal washing plant [A14], Fritz-Schupp-Allee 14, 45309 Essen. Opening hours: daily 10-18 o'clock. Purchase of day tickets and festival passes possible.
